Dr. Himika Chawla is a Super-specialist practicing as Senior Consultant Endocrinology and Diabetology. She completed D.M. in Endocrinology and Metabolism from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. She has over 10 years of experience in managing patients with general medicine and endocrinology. She has expertise in the comprehensive management of all types of diabetes in adult and pediatric patients. She has experience in using CGMS and insulin pump devices in the advanced management of diabetes. She has medical expertise in the management of thyroid diseases, metabolic bone diseases such as osteoporosis and vitamin d deficiency, male infertility, gynecomastia, polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) in females resulting in irregular menses, male pattern/facial hair growth and infertility. She has managed several uncommon endocrine disorders such as acromegaly, Cushing's syndrome, hyperparathyroidism and hypopituitarism. She also provides consultation for all types of pediatric endocrine disorders such as disorders of growth (short stature, gigantism) and sexual development in children. She has also been actively involved in the assessment and management of metabolic diseases such as obesity, hyperlipidemias, young-onset hypertension and recurrent renal stones.
