Dr. Neema Sharma is Director in the department of Minimal and Natural Access Gynae Gynae Cancer Surgery, She has two decades of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology which includes postgraduate training, Senior Residency form Safdarjung Hospital, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) as Research Associate and training at Mid Essex Hospital NHS Trust, England. With a PG degree in obstetrics and gynaecology (MD), she has a research experience, award winning papers along with other paper and poster presentation to her credit and has actively participated in various professional conferences and courses to keep abreast with the latest in this field. She has experience in doing laparoscopic surgeries and other Gynae surgeries. She has been awarded the MRCOG degree in a convocation held on 19th May 2006 in London. Dr. Sharma also did a structured training in Urogynaecology from Kasturba Gandhi Hospital, Chennai, advanced laparoscopy course under Dr Urvashi Prasad Jha and FOGSI certified ultrasound course. She has completed the Robotic Da Vinci Xi Surgeon Assessment training module and got the certificate of Assistant (Amrita Hospital).
Chairman of the Endoscopic Committee of Association of obstetrics and gynaecologist of Delhi (AOGD ) for the year 2015-2017.
Editor of the AOGD bulletin for the year 2014-2015.
Won gold medal on a paper presentated on the role of Natural Access ‘Transvaginal Hydrolaparoscopy ‘in assessing adnexal masses’ at the Annual Conference of AICC-RCOG NZ on 4th Sept 2011.
Member of Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (UK).
Regular trainer for Gynae Endoscopy TLH Courses at the Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education.
Trainer for hands on laparoscopy hysteroscopy courses at Fortis Flt Lt Rajan Dhall Hospital, New Delhi.
Member of FOGSI endometriosis society.
Awarded Dr Urvashi P Jha Gynaecology Prize for best paper in gynaecology for free paper titled “Management of benign adnexal masses by the natural access vaginal route” at the 28th Annual Conference of AICC RCOG held at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 31st Aug 2013.
